Volleyball

Volleyball is our spring sport for HAC. Girls and boys 1st through 8th grade can play in our program. Participants are placed on teams through a draft process, which occurs in February. The program starts with practices in February into March, games will begin in March and run through the end of April. We average approximately 300 participants in this program each year.

The purpose of the draft process is to place players on teams of equal ability. Anyone not at the draft will be placed on a team through a lottery.

Registration typically takes place in December through mid January each year.

A schedule of the season cannot be made until the draft is complete. This process takes some time. Once done, all participants will be notified.
Games and practices are held at District 33 schools: Hadley, Young, Schilling, Butler, and Homer Junior High.  The schedule varies from week to week. Game times and practices are on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday at 6pm, 7pm, or 8pm.  Teams play approximately 10 matches (30 games). Playoffs are single elimination and occur at the end of the season.

"Rookie Volleyball"  is for girls and boys in first and second grade. This program will focus on passing, serving, and game play. Help from parents is much appreciated and will earn the participation fee gift card. The program will be held one day a week from 6pm to 7pm. That day is tbd. A minimum of 15 and maximum of 40 participants is needed to run the program.
