Hi Rec Basketball Parents!
We have scheduled rec basketball evaluations for each age group below:

*There are no evaluations for Rookie league or 7/8th grade girls.*
Evaluations are designed to assess talent levels of individual players to make balanced teams. For this reason, it is important that players try to attend. However, if you cannot attend evaluations, your child will still be placed on a team. There is no need to notify HAC if you are unable to make it.
Parents are to stay in the Young cafeteria after checking in their player. Only players and coaches will be allowed in the gym.
The purpose of the draft is to even out the teams as much as possible with the same amount of A, B, and C players.
- Players are graded one at a time by head coaches.
- Any player not at evaluations (no shows) will not be drafted. They will be placed randomly on teams after the draft has been completed by the VP of Basketball. If a coach insists on drafting a no-show player, then that player needs to be listed as an A player before the draft begins.
- Once teams have been established, there will be no switching of players.
- Any coach's child who does not attend the draft will be labeled an "A" player prior to the start of the draft. This is true for Head Coaches and any assistants.
Head coaches are expected to be at the evaluation for their age group and team drafts will take place immediately after each session.
